2010 Boxster
Computer animated pic of the potential 2010 Boxster in Road & Track. Looks pretty sweet. Looks like there is also an article regarding getting a good deal on a 986. I haven't actually seen the magazine yet but just caught this pic on another forum.
Fyi - says the 'S' will be up to a 3.5 liter 315hp. |

Front end looks a bit heavy. Maybe it'll grow on me

bumper
the front bumper looks similar to the special edition out now. My gemballa front looks the same with the lip, I think the 986 should have came with the gemballa front bumper stock or atleast as an aerokit.

Not sure how I feel about it. Couple of questions for those that might have seen the article:
1. Is it still a ragtop? 2. Isn't that the 2008 limited edition paint? Guess it isn't going to be so limited...? |
I don't believe that MY 2010 is realistic. Porsche is doing a facelift of the 987 for MY 2009, and I would guess that the MY 2010 will havevery few changes. MY 2011 is the expected to have the major changes, possibily introduced in calendar year 2010. I also found it interesting that the article said 270 hp for the base and 315 hp for the Boxster S. I thought that was expected in MY 2009.

The thing I hate about these newer Pcars is that the headlights aren't uniquely Porsche. The lights on this 2010 Boxster look like they could have come off any number of Mazda, Toyota or similar. But still better than VW Bug style lights!
also, except for the bumper and lights I see nothing different from a 987. Try again Road & Track. (I bet you their Roadster group read this forum and Rennlist) |
