GT3 Seats Installed
Installed my GT3 seats yesterday, I was quoted $250 for the install so I decided to do it myself. Took me 30 min or so total, had an online guide to help me, went really well. No warning lights blinking or other failure.
Now my Question to you who use the GT3 seat. Are you supposed to ride so high? It feels much higher than my stock seats..
Thanks

now that's a first! The GT3 seat as you know bolts onto the exisiting mounting points as the OEM seats, No need for aftermarket rails. The stock seat at its lowest position is the about the same height as the GT3 seats once they are bolted to the floor.
are you sure these seats migt not be aftermarket replicas? There should be a serial number that begins with 996 on tha back of the seat. I will check mine to verify. They should also say Recaro on the back.

Hi,
They look really nice, are they comfortable enough for everyday driving and they do seem higher than the OEM's.

No, you should sit lower. Compare heights, mine are replicas though.

I know the replicas have a rail that makes the seat sit lower.. My replicas had a generic rail who was very low.. But the Red seats above looks as high as mine..

Ha, well to my knowledge its never been adjusted since the factory since the red lines match up. Maybe the cable has stretched slightly or the e brake drum shoes have worn making the travel longer. I will take a look at it when I change out my pads and rotors here in the next couple months.
