Brakes and Insurance

Hey guys,

I just wanted to give ya'll a heads up on a couple of things...

I ordered front pads and rotors from Sunset Imports.

When I quoted it out online it came to $386.85

I called them to place the order - $287.07 :D

Also, I switched my car insurance from Farmers to Geico today.

With Farmers I was paying $674.30 for 6 months

Geico - $221.40 / 6 months !

( Mercedes also dropped from $254.30 no comp / coll to $210.40 full coverage )

In a nutshell, I saved $100 on the brakes and $1000 / year on insurance !

If you haven't shopped around for insurance lately, it might want to check it out...

Nick

Meh, I checked out geico.com, and it was much more expensive than my current provider. I'm on USAA, and they're a great organization, so I'm gonna stick with 'em.

Good job, Nick! And you just made Warren Buffet a little richer.

+1 for USAA. I pay $32 a month for full coverage on the BoxS. My motorcycle insurance is higher than my Porsche insurance.

That's very cool you are saving that much a year. Time to put it away for a mods fund. ;)

My wife mentioned USAA, but don't you have to be a member of the armed forces ?
