BOXZING 09-05-2007 04:19 PM

BOXZING which I thought was really cool but some don't get it as they ask if I'm a boxer or into boxing. Duh.

boggtown 09-05-2007 04:25 PM

You mean like this?

CJ_Boxster 09-05-2007 04:33 PM

Theres always this....

CJ_Boxster 09-05-2007 04:37 PM

Im thinking of getting this to make it that much harder to give me a ticket.

CJ_Boxster 09-05-2007 04:55 PM

RandallNeighbour 09-05-2007 06:12 PM

The day Texas goes to 7 digits, I'm gonna spell FAST in German the right way...

Gary in BR 09-05-2007 10:06 PM

I think mine matches my car.

Lowered, black, 5% tint on the windows, blacked out headlights (most of the headlights), smoked tail lights, loud muffler and twin turbos.

bmx672 09-06-2007 04:47 AM

I don't have a pic...
but mine say:

PSHN 40

(pushing forty) haha.

I wanted something kind of funny.

OldBlevins 09-06-2007 06:06 AM

The first time my cousin saw my boxster, she said, "Oooooh - it's a bumblebee!" So I tried to get plates like BUMBL-B. Every combo I could think of has been taken. The best one I've seen in recent years was on a corvette. BLUBYU. I was pretty sure he wasn't referring to the song.

FrayAdjacent 09-06-2007 07:19 AM

A friend actually saw:

WTF LOL

on a car in Houston a couple years back. Don't remember what kind of car it was.

I thought about getting

FR4Y

for the Boxster, and

ST1NKY

for my 911.

yellowboxster01 09-06-2007 09:48 AM

a couple of my father's cars have personalized plates, none of his Porsche's though for some reason.

Jeph, good one! Simple and visually pleasing. :)

evilmorg 09-06-2007 03:41 PM

ZUEGIG--- "speedy" in German

yellowboxster01 09-06-2007 11:52 PM

Jeph, it took me a minute but, I got it. That's great, except for the fish on the back...I didn't know Porsche made that model.;)

pierre shags 09-07-2007 12:48 AM

L BOOM

A joke for those who got 80% of the way through Ulysses by James Joyce. The hero is Leopold Bloom, as many know, but his name is mispelled in the evening paper.

The best wrong interpretation was - a Mexican revolutionary.

RandallNeighbour 09-07-2007 05:02 AM

Jeph:

What's NV mean? I don't get it.

I can't believe you put an ichthus on your car. I'm sure the cop giving you a speeding ticket, or someone seeing you blow by at speed will think that's a great witness!

I remain under cover and completely badgeless, thank you very much.

NickCats 09-07-2007 06:16 AM

Randall,

NV = Envy

Nick

ultimate1 09-07-2007 01:46 PM

You got to love it. NV could mean envy. I guess that keeps the jesus fish in check or something. Or maybe its just short for Nevada, sin city usa and that keeps the jesus fish in check. Or maybe its not a jesus fish its Porsche's new fishster. No offense just playing with ya'

MNBoxster 09-07-2007 02:54 PM

Hi,

MNBoxster <---- not happy following people with fishes on their cars, St. Christopher medals on their dash, or crucifixes hanging from their rearview mirrors as if they feel they need divine intervention to maintain control. Not dissing anyone's religious beliefs, just makes me very nervous - I mean suppose He's busy or on another call?...

Happy Motoring!... Jim'99

jwilson95 09-07-2007 08:50 PM

all the other combo's were taken to get to no substitute...

[z0ne] 09-08-2007 04:06 PM

Hahaha you guys get pretty original with your number plates!

My friend's STi says "EVOWHAT"
My friend's M3 says "MPRSV" (impressive)

S_PILOT 09-08-2007 07:57 PM

our box is primarily my wife's car.

BOXY LDY is the plate...

RandallNeighbour 09-13-2007 03:57 PM

OK, I thought up a new one that someone should snag, but NOT IN TEXAS... I might use it next year!

CGT RND = Carrera GT Research n' Development

This would look great on my car with the top down and the humps on after I get it lowered, huh?

It also has my initials in it as an added bonus

achtung 09-14-2007 10:59 AM

MIne says ACHTUNG. It's a German word for Attention or Beware. It's Speed Yellow so I thought it was appropriate. I also liek the fact that not everyone gets it.

johnsonrj74 09-14-2007 12:53 PM

Mine is simple:

RJ 986

RJ Are my intitials
986 needs no explanation!

porsche986spyder 09-14-2007 01:40 PM

SPYDER

or

986 SPY

Texas only allows for 6 characters. Other states allow 7. Never understood why?

When I was looking for my car I came across a Boxster S with this plate.

It translates as:

Sup Ladies (as in What's up Ladies)
