Farewell Pictures

Farewell to my Sport Classic II wheels, that is. I just bought a set of 997 lobster claws for my car, so I decided to take some pictures of my car before i swap the wheels!

P.S. if anyone is interested, I will have a post in the FS section going up for these soon

The SC IIs look soo good when they are clean. I bought a dish washing tool that is an astrisk shaped sponge with a handle that helped get the dirt out of the tight spots. Changing brake pads to a less dusty pad also helped. You will have no trouble selling them.

And the lobster claws look great on a Boxster. Good choice. Fri a guy in the bank drive-in line was asking me all kinds of questions about my car. Then he said he really liked the wheels. Asked if they were factory. I said kind of.

Enjoy your new purchase.

Haha, well in stock form I don't think they match the box too well... But I had them black faced/polished. I'll post pics later this week... Maybe you'll change your mind about the lobster claws after seeing these =)

How do you like the Kumho ASX's? How's the ride and are they noisy?

typeron,

Did you have them powder coated, painted, or some other coating? Looking forward to seeing the pictures.

The ASX's are good for what they are. They ride pretty decently and dont make much noise on the road or while braking. For the price, and for what they are intended to be, I think they are a good tire.

However, they are all seasons and cannot match the dry grip of a summer tire. I think these are fine for a rainy season, but the box needs a good summer tire for when its dry to get the most out of the car.

I had faces painted and the lips polished. They polished the 'lip' portion of the wheel, then masked it off and painted the face black. After that, they sprayed clear coat on top and put the wheels in the oven to bake it sealed. I'll post pictures later on this week.

If I only had money! I won't be in the market for replacing my wheels until probably next summer...
