I personally prefer the bare butt look. Here's a pic of my car (on the right) debadged, and another 986 on the left with the Boxster emblem on the trunklid. I think the badge breaks up the smooth lines of the car, and makes it look busy. The matching painted bumperettes helps to clean up the look too, IMO.

Good point..it could just be the angle but the non badged one seems wider.

I de-badged my 02 S and am in the process of painting the bumperettes sometime....

I love the clean look as well.

Nice. I have always been a big fan of the Porsche Oxster - you don't see too many of those.

hahaah, yeah, i still have that badge too.
actually the whole B is there, but the bottom part of the B that extends was missing, and it must have stayed like that for a long time since the sun baked the rest of the car and not under the badge.

and as for buffing it, its not that outline is there from glue or soemthing, but actually colors are different. it CLEARLY says boxster with darker shade of green. i will snap a pic and show, it looks liek it broke off when the guy got it, and stayed like that untill i got the car. so when i took it off its like a ghost shade badge....
