Unhappy Boxster S emblem, Need advice

I purchased a used Boxster S emblem on Ebay and seen that it has no sticky backing on it, does anybody know how I can safely affix this without causing permanent damage to the trunk.

You cant install it without the sticky backing... odd that it would be sold without the sticky backing.

You could probably find some 3M transfer adhesive. It is like a double faced tape but much thinner and only the adhesive transfers to the emblem. I would look online or go to your local Home Depot or Lowes and see if they have anything like that. I bet you could find Emblem Adhesive in a tube somewhere like a Pep Boys or Autozone. This is a second choice. Both wont harm your paint. If you take off the emblem and the adhesive is on the car, you could clean it with warm soapy water.

Best of luck!

At most Parts Stores you can buy "3M Scotch-Mount Molding Tape". A two-sided tape made for attaching trim and emblems. That's what's holding my "986" to the trunk lid with no problems yet. I just trimmed the tape around the numbers with an exacto knife.
