Agreed - your ride is going to be incredibly harsh because of how old those struts are. Even sport struts (new) will feel like butter compared to those, and keep in mind the rebound is likely very harsh as well since the seals are likely worn.

Get some new struts, and I agree about the shorter springs as well. That's how the Europeans got theirs stock, and it looks far better.
