"I guess you did not see the grinning emoticon in my post. This is inserted to suggest that the post was IN JEST!
I guess bashing is in the eye of the beholder?"
Check your posts -- I did the grinning emoticon, too; thus I do grasp the meaning (you'll note, however, I did not feel the need to capitalize).
I guess I see no place for comments or polls that, even jokingly, that simply degrade woman as being poor drivers or those that assert one is not a "man" should he treat his g/f/wife as... dare I say... equal? Of course, now we know where you stand, and likewise where I do.
See, I used a[(n) approved] "winking" emoticon. I wonder what I mean...

pointless indeed...
Anyway, the Boxster is my daily driver, I'll let her drive if she wants to but she rarely asks (might have something to do with the fact that one of the first times she did she backed into a concrete pillar...) When we autocross it certainly is 50/50, in fact she likes autocrossing the boxster more than our miata which is our primary autox car.

"I agree -- the point is as pointless as commenting on this thread."
I disagree -- commenting on this thread could serve to build better relationships between the genders and dispel myths surrounding women as being:
(1) Incapable of driving stick
(2) Poor drivers
Perhaps, people make these threads/polls to dispel myths that the Boxster is a "woman's car" and settle personal feelings about not being able to afford an 911?
Just to clarify: I'm rolling my eyes at the thought of this post, winking suggesting that I'm being jest-ful and smiling and the full display of my witty-ness.

Not to trump Grizz or unkle, but my Boxster was a gift to me from my wife -- for our first anniversary. She gave me the manual (paper-- keeping with traditions) and told me to go pick out options. Hmmm... maybe THAT is why I have a better appreciation of wives/g/fs...

Thanks unkle -- she's pretty good. She tells me if I "want" kids we could upgrade to a 911, "because it has a backseat", although if we watch Casino Royale a few more times I think I can talk her into an Aston (some of them also have backseats).

Okay, not to trump you either (since it was your anniversary), but I can tell this story again, my very decisive GF actually bought me my Boxster (from some lady in Beverly Hills) and then drove it up to Bay Area & delivered it at my doorsteps -- she just knew that I wanted it, no question asked.
I'm sure there are some clauses involved, but who cares... she's a hottie.

attitude adjustable?
My wife likes my Boxster because its a convertible, noticed right away how much more stable it is than the Miata I had, and being a capable person generally can deal with a gear shift. But she cares nothing for speed, straight or curved. Really does not see the point, considers it man-child weirdness, a waste of money.
Has anyone gotten a woman with this attitude to change, and appreciate the car by, for instance, taking her to an AutoCross?

Well, as I stated earlier, my GF is a freak -- she not only pilots helicopters but also takes her moto-bike regularly to the race track. Hence, I voted "I always let her drive my Porsche because I'm a wuss."

Yep! See my post above. When I mention I am buying something for our autox car, she always asks will it make us go faster? If it's not a go-fast part she does not approve
