I've noticed no difference when driving. I didn't have to move my seat because the pedals are pretty thin. So far I haven't had one come off.
They are for looks, but they look pretty sweet.

I've had these for a couple of months now. Haven't noticed any loss of legroom, nor has feel changed much. And no, nothing has slipped while driving. They look great in my opinion, a nice touch to add to dress up the interior some. Here's a shot of mine, yeah, I know I need to do some vacuuming.

Whatever you do, don't buy the ones that have clips that attach to the rear of the factory pedals. Get the ones that screw through the pedals. My car had the latter type on it when I got it. The clutch pedal came loose and turned sideways every time I drove the car. I finally took them off.

yes, definitely get the ones that screw thru and when attaching them put a little loc-tite on the screw threads to preven them from loosening up on you. Mostly cosmetic, but a nice addition.

yeah i would agree, get the ones that go trough the pedals so that you never have to think about any mishaps. plus they look nice.
what kind were you thinkinkg about getting?
loss or leg room? i took out the facroty bubber crap out, and those are like double the thickness, so i 'gained leg room" i guess, although its not even worth mentioning because its millimeters were talking about here

Thinking about the ones Rennline make. As I understand it, you have to put the accelerator pedal over the existing one. Same for the dead pedal. That's where I got the idea that you lose leg room.

I have both, the snap-lock Crafter's($200) and the Ebay ones($100).
Have yet to install either. I'll try the snap lock ones first as I am toooo lazy to get the out the power drill I don't have.
The Rennline look cool because they pad the accelerator so that its not sitting behind the brake pedal... Makes having your right foor on both at the same time a piece of cake. But I never really down shift in the Boxster.
