About to buy some headlights but...

I want to know if they will fit.

They are off a 99' 911 (he said 996 carrera 4) and was wondering if they'll fit my 01' box. Any advice would be appreciated. Are there issues with mounting brackets? (I contacted TWO dealers which said they wouldn't fit but I value the member's input more than service managers!) Again thanks.

My clear headlights are from a 1999 996. 1999 was the first year of the 996 in the US. As I said before, you need to watch out with 1999. The very early 1999s had amber and the rest of the year was clear. Same thing for the tail lights.

This are my clear headlights before I put them in.

That is the reason for the 1999 warning.

The headlights in your picture look like clears but maybe a camera flash picked up a reflection from the amber internal lense. When my lights were on ebay the picture looked like yours, but since my seller also had the clear corners on it was easier to tell they were clear headlights. The clear corners have no amber to reflect back from a camera flash.

My pictures wer taken outside in the sun with no flash, so you cannot see the amber internal lense.
