Break Lights and ABS Sensor Problems

Hi, I have a 2001 CPO Boxster, it appears that when I press the brake pedal, the brake lights come on for about a second then flicker, then suddenly dim, then go off completely, does anyone have an idea what might be causing this and would it be covered under the Porsche Certified Pre-Owned warrany....also last week the ABS Break Light and the PSM Dash Board lights have come on, I know i'm getting close to having my brake pads changed, but the brake pad sensor light has not come on yet, I plan on having all of this checked this week, I just wanted to know if any of this (not including the brake pads) sound like things that would be covered under the CPO warranty....

Brake lights and brakes themselves are CRITICAL SAFETY COMPONENTS. You bet your beehind they will be covered by the CPO warranty. Get it in and get it fixed. NOW.

Sounds like the brake light switch has failed. Cheap part and only takes a few minutes to replace. Your dealer should have the part in stock and best get it sorted asap.
