T20 Tampered Proof torx

I've been to 3 stores, autozone 2x, napa, sears hardware.
And made calls to other autozones, napa. sears with no success. Even tried calling HomeDepot/Lowes
Sears.com has it 2 day shipping.

Why is it so....... hard to find this tool in a store?

Blink, yeah I went to my local sears hardware store grant it's very small but they have a large tool section. The sales person and I looked everywhere, behind the glass cases, nothing.
I ended up calling Sears (different store) and spoke with someone in tools and they do not have the tool in stock.
Frustrating....

I found a set of bits in Torx Security at Pep Boys. No driver with 'em... and they cost about $6 IIRC.

What I found at Sears was a set of several different bits including torx safety bits from T-10 to T-40.

I've also found individual bits at Ace Hardware.

I don't know where in Boston you live but if you are not too far from Warwick you can check out the Harbor Freight store. I bought a set for $10.

I know Boston really well cause I go there all the time. Unfortunately, there isn't a Pep Boys in Boston. Have you called the Sears in Burlington Mall? Home Depot, AutoZone, and Lowes do not carry those bits. Or look up phone book for small hardware store in Waltham or Newton or perhaps Framingham. I am trying to think of a hardware store around Boston. If I remember a store tonight, I will PM you. Oh, also call the Black and Decker factory outlet store in Franklin (exit 15 on 495N).

Guys, I've found torx bits but I'm looking for one that is tamper. It looks like this, see pic below. Notice it has a hole in the middle. Big difference then the normal torx bits that are out there.

porschedude- I called Sear in Burlington, na da.

Made more calls last night. My local Napa store said he might be able to get me one. To give him a call this AM.
Also, called Pep Boys in Salem, NH about 16 miles north from where I live, I MIGHT take a ride later on but I don't think the guy that I was talking to over the phone knows the difference. I had to tell him 3x that I was looking for one that is "tamper". As he was shouting to some clerk to go look for t 20. Never said tamper. I don't have a good feeling.
I'll find one eventually....

If you find yourself in a similar situation in the future I recommend you try out an Aubuchon HW store (http://www.hardwarestore.com/). Local chain with funky stores but they seldom fail to have what I need and folks that actually help you find it. I've given up on Home Defect long ago. Lowe's still has some charm for me but as you know there are few of them in our area.
