It has not been a good couple of months for the Box

First, some idiot hit my passenger side mirror with the car door and took a chip out of the paint.

Then, my dad hits my rear end with his Navigator.

Last weekend, my Boxster logo get ripped off while I'm dusting the car.

This weekend, the passenger side mesh roll bar grill flies off ( $165 at the dealer to replace, each ! )

Now, my windscreen clip breaks off !

Ugh !!!

Nick

With that kind of luck, maybe you should bring your Road Glide to the Tail instead of the Box...we'll still let ya roll with us.

Call Sunset Imports,it's only $18 for a new one and you could put it on yourself.

Mesh grill? Was it aftermarket?

Hopefully your luck gets better!

Blink,

I edited the post. I meant to say the mesh "roll bar" grill ( the black plastic pieces that snap in ). The new ones are now zip - tied in. I know I could have gotten them cheaper than $165 online, but I wanted them for the trip to the Tail so I went to the dealer and paid the price

I did get the new Boxster emblem, but it is SO much easier to clean with it off. I like the idea of throwing the 986 emblem back there, but I would like to see what it looks like before I place the order. I hope one of the cars going to the Tail has it so I can see what it looks like...

Nick

Those mesh inserts make to much noise behinf your head when the top is donw anyway. I just removed mine all together. Looks better that way in my opinion. Buy some black carbon fiber mirrors, it would look good on your black car and a nice upgrade. Leave the logo off.

Wow, $167 for those plastic mesh roll bar inserts? I don't even use mine because when I turn my head to look over mt should to see behind me they obstruct my view. Also Sorry to hear your Boxster has taken such a beating lately.
