Help-cant get the amber out

Hi,
First let me say that I did a search and I could not find a specific help. So I am asking the group for information.

I have a 2002 S, I have the headlights off...I was trying to deamber the lights when I relized that the amber seems to be part of the light, not an interior lense.

Am I missing something? I look inside and I do not see a amber lens, I look from the side and the plastic exterior seems to be dyed amber.

What am I missing?

Thanks for any help,
James

You are not missing anything. The amberectomy that we came up with a few years ago is not for your car.

Great. So is this a 2002 problem? I guess i will need to buy whole new lights off of ebay.
Thanks,
James

The lights on which you can perform the mod are the litronics or the 2003+ halogens. I appears you have the pre-2003 halogens. If you just don't like the amber, there are a couple of people on this board who have painted over it, alternatively you can upgrade to the newer style lights
