Can anyone help me with instructions on how to fix error code P1600 (Manufacture Specific DTC)?
I was driving and all of the sudden my CEL, ABS, and battery light came on. I purchased a new battery right away (Interstate 700cc). Car drove fine for about 3hrs and the CEL, ABS, and battery light came back on. Weird think was a repetitive clicking noise and the car light started to dim, wipers got stuck, gauges went crazy...all UFO like...please help...thanks!

Check your ground cable and make sure you have good connections at both ends of the cable. Do you have a multi-meter??

Sounds like you have an issue with the ignition switch.
The electric part can be easily replaced and cost around 20$.
This way or the other, a Durametric diagnostic tool will help all of you guys to better understand your issue.

You will need a multi-meter to check the voltage across your battery while the motor is running to see if the alternator is charging the battery. You need to see something between 13 and 14.5 volts while the motor is running.

I do not have a multimeter. My new battery got drained over night so I was told it has to be a bad alternator. I did checked the ground wire in the engine bay and did not see any disconnection. So should I just replace both the starter and alternator? Any one have suggestions where I can get quality parts for good price? Thanks!
Buy the way, how do I use the multi-meter and how can I test the battery if engine is not running due to the battery drainage? I can purchase one from SEARS to test out your suggestions.

Looks like you need to get a battery charger on that battery ASAP. I'm sure your starter is OK but suspect you have a bad alternator.
