Maybe I'm confused by what you are saying, but the link that djlomas posted is an autocross, which is what we're all talking about.

Ahh ok, i just got the terminology mixed up. So autocross is like a parking lot track and track day is... well a real track course, right??? or am i still wrong?

Ah! Alright, I see what you are saying. Terminology miscommunication!
Yeah, this type of event is called autocross... where people mark out a course in a big open area (like a parking lot) with cones, and navigate through/around them. Most people that I know call it a course as opposed to a track. If you just say "track" most people think you are referring to a REAL track.. a course that's completely paved, and doesn't need cones because you either follow the pavement or go into the grass or walls, hehe.
