someone swiped my "S"

This weekend I traded my 2002 S2000 in for a 2003 Boxster S...white, clean, 9800 miles... It's a lot more comfortable than my s2k (which was a great car). Well anyway... at some point, someone swiped the "S" off the rear. The "Boxster" is off-center. I've been scouring the net and have not found anyone offering up an "S".

Other than a dealer, I was looking for suggestions on how to replace my "S"

Try http://986forum.com/forums/bumperplugs.com They're $10.95.

Welcome aboard. We'll be needing pics of your ride ASAP.

You could also take off the "Boxster" and run the rear-end naked.

Sorry...this sounds kinda wierd.

Just a warning for those of you that may want to remove the Boxster emblem from the rear trunk. When I got home from Autocross Saturday I used the good old California Car Duster before heading out to a party and sure enough the duster caught the B and ripped it off ( it was already cracked )

So, I figured this would be a good time to remove the emblem since it is such a PITA to clean the trunk. Sunday night I break out the dental floss and Goo Gone. Dental floss worked great, now time to get rid of the sticky stuff. The glue remnants were so hard to get off !

I soaked a towel in Goo Gone, let it sit on the sticky stuff for an hour, and I still had to use a credit card to scrape off the remnants. Now, of course, I can still see the “Boxster” in the paint

So, after about 5 coats of Zaino in the last 3 days it looks much better, but I think I will still have to take it to a professional to buff out ( I am a bit of a perfectionist )

So be warned !

Nick
