2002 boxster s or 2003 base?

Which one would you folks get if you had the choice and why?

2002 S - no doubt (with an extended warranty)
the only real advantage you get from the 2003 is the glass rear window

Absolutely '02 S.

I have an 02 S that I absolutely love driving, I will be doing the retrofit glass window top sometime in the future, but a good part of me wishes I had held out to find an 03 S to have the factory glass backlight, glovebox, and updated rear bumper.

For me, the deal on my 02 just came up and was just about impossible to turn down, so thats what I've got, but if i were looking in the open market I would really try to get an 03 S.

both cars being equal (condition, mileage, history, etc.), I would go for the S. I've driven both and the standard is a slug compared to the S.

If you are saving a bunch of money and not doing a lot of spirited driving, then the standard Boxster is fine.

Drive 'em both and make your decision. You'll get a lot of opinions on the board, but yours is the most important.

Same choice I had. I dearly wanted the '03S. The '03S had the factory skirts and 18" carrera's and all else equal, but the dealer with the '03 wanted $9k more than the other dealer with the '02S plus offered me $5k less on my trade in!! So '02S and upgrades are in my future. LOL
