2000 996 headlight

I know I've read it on a thread before - but there have been so many headlight threads, I got tired of searching for my answer.... Can someone tell me if headlights from a 2000 996 were deambered, and if they will work in my '02 986?

Thanks in advance - C

I believe they are clear, with the amber "inside"... (you can remove that). And yes, they'll work on your '02 986.

to replace your 986 headlight w/996 nothing special is needed other than the 996 can. Just a matter of unplugging the 986 can and replacing it w/996 can. Right?

The early 1999s had amber headlights and tail lights. They were clear by 2000.

In 2002 the 996 headlights changed style and they do not fit on a Boxster. This style actually started on the turbo the year before.
