I put a 'lil 986 in my tv segment this morning

For those of you who missed it, Dr. Burton on this forum asked me a tech question last week... well, I answered it on-air this morning on my morning news tech segment....

here's the clip (look in the background, too ;-) )

I like the fact that there are going to be so many people looking up, what the hell is 986?
My answer to the question though.. Buy a mac.

Now you need other subliminal items on your screens.

That was great! Very subtle on the 986. I think Porsche owes you at least a key chain or tee shirt for that free promo!

Product placement is alive and well in Broadcast, in this age of TIVO. Carmela Soprano doesn't drive a Turbo Cayenne because she likes the bun warmers.

Next time, wear one of these, who knows, you may get a mysterious gift certificate for a free oil change.

AWESOME! Doug your a cool guy, the 986 screen is a much better idea than having the forum open in the background. I like how halfway through the segment the camera repositions itself to cut off part of that 986 so as not to be so obvious lol.

ha! well, the camera reposition wasn't on purpose... I tend to move around a whole lot so the camera probably just moved with me while the graphic was up...

the only reason I didn't actually load the website is because I dont ever actually touch any of that equipment... it's a real engineering room and I could probably shut down the entire outgoing signal if I wanted to get fired.

either way... I'm sure I violated some FCC regulation today (youd be surprised)...
