It is recommended that forum members use this emoticon when suggestively shooting each other with their handguns:

Z12358, they're firing .357 Revolvers with the 4" barrels, as recommended by forum member Grizzly.

I, however, do not apologize -- I'm always in a pissy mood.

Easy there, hoss...not sure if that one was necessary. And I should know, most of my posts are unnecessary.

When things get contentious, you know what happens. We end up having to get in a big freaking hand-holding circle and sing Kumbaya. I don't think anyone wants that...

I got pulled last fall for playing cut and thrust in traffic on my Buell Ulysses. I don't think it was profiling, I think it was because I deftly darted in front of an unmarked police car. The cop just happened to be a motorcycle cop who's bike was in the shop that day, so he gave me a stern talking to and let me go. It was truly a bonehead move on my part and I was very grateful to have gotten off so light. Sometimes it isn't even the cop's fault, go figure!

Yeah, I used to get that way too when my diaper was wet. You might grow out of it.

Let's take a look at the vehicular profiling thing:

I have a Porsche Boxster. It is silver. It has a custom exhaust that I had made for it. It is somewhat louder than stock. The cops never f*** with me.

I have a '71 Mustang Mach 1. It's bright lime green with black stripes (pretty hard to miss). It has a hot 351 Cleveland with a 2 1/2 inch exhaust through 40 series Flowmasters. When it's running it sounds like the world is coming to an end. The cops never f*** with me.

I have an '83 Thunderbird with a 331 stroker running through a 2 1/2 inch exhaust and 40 series Flowmasters. It sounds a lot like the Mach 1. The cops never f*** with me.

I have a red Mustang GT Convertible. The engine is stock but I'm running a 2 1/2 inch exhaust and 40 series Flowmasters. The cops never f*** with me.

Until about a year ago I was riding a Suzuki Katana with a 4 into 2 Yoshimura that I had made for it. Yeah, I know it's not a Ducati, but it was a loud, aggressive sounding sportbike. The cops never f***ed with me.

Do you know why? Because I don't drive like a douche.

Last year I was stopped twice. Both times I was driving my silver Mercedes E320 4 door. It was just as quiet and unassuming as a church mouse. Both times I was stopped for speeding. You know why? Because I was speeding.

Then you should know not to expect a cop (or anyone else, for that matter) to shower your permanent pissiness with smiles and smilies. In general, you catch more flies with honey.

"Do you know why? Because I don't drive like a douche"

Too funny!

The last time I got spoken to harshly was on MY Buell and I was sort of using my Bike inappropriately (bike and car in the same space).

While he did give me a bit of a thrashing, he did not ticket me.

I was VERY POLITE.

Better than traffic court I bet.

I think the police don't f with Griz because 1) they know he's an operator, and b) his license plate is something like "H&KMP5".

I knew someone would pick that up, but no. I make it a point not to have any type of identifier on myself or my rides. Even my G-ride is stealth.

All the ones whining about this thread and the OP elude to what the OP was ACTUALLY complaining about.

Here's a tip to all of those whiners: Go back and read the thread before commenting and it is very evident what is being complained about.

This is proven to be much more effective than just reading the first two lines.

Angry

OK. The post trashing virtually all cops is going to be deleted by me.

Then I am going to close this thread.

Lets all take a deep breath.

Thanks

PS-next time you are in deep ****************, don't call a cop, trying calling .......?
