You are probably correct. I cannot find any specs on the b4, b6, or b8 as far as operating range monotubes (b4) usually have bypass grooves in the tube to allow for some bypass under normal operation lowering usually will firm up the ride at all times. I may try to call Bilstein today and get an answer.
