FS - Boxster Hardtop (complete, excellent condition)

Later version Boxster hardtop (no mounting ears). Complete with all adjustment/latch covers and header tab caps. Defroster connection (never tested but looks to be intact). All seals good condition. A few minor scuffs/scratches and one small ding (see pics).

This may be Arctic Silver but I can't confirm. It's definitely a lighter shade than my GT Silver Metallic.

Rolling storage rack included. I also have a vinyl cover bag but it's stashed away somewhere in the storage shed. The bag is not really very useful IMHO, I just keep the top on the rack with a clean moving pad over it. Always stored in my heated garage. I purchased the top in 2018 and only used it twice.

$2,000 cash, local pickup only. Spinlocks not included. Located in Orange County NY. PM me for contact details.

Why…

….so little usage?

Pain in the butt? Like top down driving too much?

I’ve been searching for a Carrera GT Silver one like our cars.

Not that hard to take on or off, but two people required to do it safely IMHO, I just never use it because I always have the top down, usually with the spyder humps on. I never came across one in GT Silver Metallic, always planned to paint it. Glad I didn’t because the Arctic Silver (if that is what it is) is much more common on a 986.

Copy that.

Every time I think about buying a hard top, I remember that I had one for my old NA Miata, and I never used it.

FAQ answers

Thanks for the interest! To respond to the FAQs received by PM -

1) Yes, the price is negotiable,
2) Yes, still available
3) No, they did not come as original equipment like they did on the 996
4) They’re scarce because not many were ordered and many of the ones in existence were gutted for use by club racers,
5) No it will not fit on the 987 Boxster!
