996 3.4 engine block/crank carrier for sale

Hello everyone I have a M96/02 block for sale along with the crank carrier . These came out of my 1999 996 C4 that had spun a rod bearing . The crank was slightly damaged but the carrier and block are fine . I purchased another engine that had a D chunk issue and used the block and crank from that engine as I was going to 3.8 with Nickie cylinders . I did that to save this block for resale .

This block had 145,000 miles on it but cleaned up well in an ultrasonic cleaner . The pics were taken the other day so they show the true condition . Visually there is light bore scoring so selling/advertising as a rebuildable core . The nationally known online auction site currently has similar engine block cores listed for $1799.00 - $2499.00 with $250.00 shipping and similar crank carriers for $599.00 with $50.00 shipping .

I am asking $1500.00 for the block and $450.00 for the crank carrier plus shipping . I will charge whatever the actual shipping is and prefer shipping to continental US . Or local pickup in north Georgia . The only trades I would consider is a clean pair of 8 way graphite grey front seats OR 996 aftermarket headers and mufflers .

Could be a great way to build and install a larger engine in your Boxster . I have a similar 3.6 in my Boxster S that FSI built for me . Brings lots of smiles per miles Thanks for looking and I will answer questions to the best of my ability .

Someone had asked for pics of the bore scoring . Took these pics this morning , one pic of each cylinder with the sump opening facing down .
