I have received a few requests for wiring harness parts already, so I might as well list the husk before I haul it off for scrap. Most of the high demand parts are already gone or worthless due to wear or damage.
It's a 2000 Boxster S that had a collision or two in the past and a few rough 'agricultural events' when I tracked it, so the body as a whole is not great for rebuilding, but I can cut/drill/detach body parts if you have a way to pick them up or can arrange freight to where I can just drop off a pallet with your paperwork in Muskogee or Tulsa.

Small parts and wiring connections are easy and cheap. Just let me know want you want and I'll probably send it for a few dollars over shipping cost.

I also have boxes and boxes of parts from other 986s including parts from bad engines, parts of seats, tops, doors, etc. Don't hesitate to ask and I won't hesitate to say no. I might even part with some 914 stuff or BMW R50/5 airhead scraps (not much left).

Help a parts hoarder clear some junk out to make room for more junk. :cheers:

Were you going to crush that as is or did you still have parts to remove before then? The uprights (specially the S rear), rear subframes, radiators, taillights and fenders are sought after by the racing community. The dme is worth keeping too

Depending on the part number, that abs pump is worth some money too

Did it have heated seats? If so interested in the switches and as much of the wiring from the switches back (as much as reasonable)

Yes and no. I pulled two seat frames out of it that were heated seats and have the wiring, but that car did not have heated seats as an option. I have an '01 that I plan to strip next month that does have the heated seat option and I can pull much of the harness from that car ---probably in a few weeks.

What happened is that I ran out of room for stuff. The garage is full of engines and motorcycles, the driveway has no more space for 'mostly operational' cars and the hidden corners of the yard have parts cars and future projects. When I got a rat infested 924 a few weeks back, so that I could use the faux Fuchs wheels on a 914 project, I had to put it on the back patio. ...

The point that I'm getting to is that I need the hulk of it gone and hope to have it done by next Friday in whatever condition it's in. I'm planning to roll it over and strip as much of the undercarriage off as I can before I scrap it. I want *some* of the parts for myself, but in reality I probably have all those parts tucked away somewhere already.

I am in no rush. I created a setup for adding heated seats using the factory switches to either factory seats or adding aftermarket seat heaters. Finally found out the factory relay under the seat is actually a microchip, which makes sense. What I would like is a set of switches and the wiring that hopefully just go to each seat heater relay, but that wiring is most likely part of a bigger harness.

I have a car I need to add my setup to but am out of switches at the moment & harness.

I'll get a good look at it in the next week and figure out how much of the harness I can pull without getting deep into the main loom. I'll let you know.

If you run into some Aerokit 2 (GT3) side skirts let me know!

If there are any Aerokit 2 cars in my area, Rick (Redtele58) will probably snag them before I can.

The wiring harness is mostly out now. Interior and dash parts are out. Trunk stripped bare. Fuel system is probably next. Wednesday I'll roll it over and pull everything off the bottom. Here's some of it:

spoiler (mainly the plastic part that had broken clips)
wheel wells (front/rear)
windshield cowl (if that is how it is called - the large plastic cover under wiper arms)
driver side bracket holding the corner light (under the bumper)
radiator fan
some random brackets
maybe underbody covers

The 2003/04 have a different spoiler cover than 97-02. Hopefully he has a 03/04 from another car, otherwise prepared to spend some $$$ on eBay for a used one. I highly recommend using caulking to secure the cover down as those clips are very brittle at this age. You want to use caulking and not glue in case you need to remove it in the future.

Except clips it is intact... so I though - heck, maybe I should go the "redneck", or HelpmeDIY route and simply glue it.

I'm still hoping to get a good title for my '04, but the seller keeps saying "It should be here next week." It's looking more like a parts car every day, but the spoiler cover is already gone.

Also, not sure if there is anything missing from rear wheel well after removing skirts.
It seems there is a gap on the front of the rear wheel well. A cover shell be there?

I unbolted the struts and drained the fuel, then pulled it over with the Dung Beetle. Now it's easy to strip the underside.

I have replied to the messages that I've received. Much of the wiring harness is available if anyone needs a few connectors. I have the stripped down seat frames (no leather or padding) in case anyone can use a seat base or parts. Lots of nuts, bolts, hardware and assorted black interior trim pieces.

Any chance do you have a pair of rear bearing carriers? I kind of messed up my project and would rather swap out my base ones than machine them to fit the S axles

If they don't come off for me, they are included at no extra cost (and ruined from trying to remove). The brake cables will be included and usable, but damaged (typical) as seen in the picture.

Any chance you have the left mirror trim where the mirror control switch is?

So far I haven't found one, but I probably have one buried deep in a box somewhere. I was going to say it can't cost much to buy new, then saw $54.75 at Pelican. :eek:
