Smile 1989 986 seat switch

I've looked everywhere trying to find the drivers side two way seat switch. OEM # 996.613.713.00. The OEM price is absolutely ridicules over four hundred dollars for a plastic plate and a few wires. Please no comments from the peanut gallery about charging for kicking the the machine! .
Any help would be appreciated.

I just pulled some rotting seats out of an '04 and stripped them down. Want a used switch? $40? I can get a good pic of the switch later today.

  • I'm assuming that your car is a 1998 and not a 1989. The 2000 and later models will have a black finish on them that scratches easily, but will function perfectly.
  • I said in my post that I'd get a pic of the switch later today. That pic was just one of the seats that I had posted on another forum and was handy to link.
  • I just did a quick eBay search for your part number. Sellers want $80ish for that part which doesn't even include the actual switch.

Here's what I have for the driver's (left) side. If you want the connector that those two pins push into, I can send one of those too.

FHW, this is a great offer! I recently, happily, paid $60 for an 8-way seat switch. All I needed was a couple of the switch components but it was worth it to put my switch back together.

This all sounds good. How do I go forward with the purchase?

I'm replying to the message you sent. Here is a picture of everything that I intend to send in the condition that it will be sent. Let me know if there's anything else needed.
Edit: And the lever on the other side of the switch is included, just not visible in this picture.
