wtb cruise control stalk

Looking for a working cruise Control stalk for a 2004 base Boxster. I broke mine off at autocross. Thanks. Mitch

Hey Mitch.... you will need to buy an entire stalk assembly. Unlike the OBC stalk, the cruise control stalk is incorporated into the assembly and cannot be added or replaced. If you don't have an OBC now would be a good time to add a four stalk unit. If you do have an OBC stalk then you can buy a three stall unit and just swap your OBC stalk over to it. Good luck.

Shameless plug... I have an OBC stalk for sale in the Classifieds.

Agree with Chuck. There are 3 stalk units for sale on ebay for $80. The cruise stalk was broken on my 911. Didn't look like there was any way to remove the cruise stalk from the unit and it didn't look like glue would hold. Wasn't sure if I could buy a 3 stalk and move the OBC stalk over to it, so I bit the bullet and bought a $200 4 stalk. Didn't have the time or nerve to buy the 3 not knowing if it would work. Now I know it would have, but oh well. Someone hopefully will buy my OBC unit.

It will be a lot of work to get the unit changed. There is a Pelican DIY on it, but you have to take the dash module and steering wheel off to get to it.

I posted one here back in September. Still have it. Priced it based on what I saw on eBay at $75. I think Woody sells them for about 1/2 that. I'll take $40 shipped (USA Priority mail).
Not sure what part number your 04 takes. Mine is 99661321710.

That is more than a fair price! And, 99661321710 is for the matte finish that is used on 2002, 2003 and 2004 Boxsters and 996s. 99661321700 is the gloss finish used on 2001 and earlier. You could use either as the finish does not stand out.

Wow, you can't beat that price! And it's the exact one he needs (matte finish).

If he has OBC he just has to move the OBC stalk over to the new one (2 bolts and a zip tie).

If he doesn't have OBC and wants to add it, he could get the 4th stalk from Chuck W and a IP cable from PDwight.

Then it's just following the DIY to install it.
