986 Willwood Hitch, Trailer, and Track Wheels for sale, asking $500

Continuing my tale of woe (marriage, house, no more sports car, etc.) I am selling my tire trailer, Willwood Hitch (fits 986 Boxster and is UNOBTANIUM any more), and two complete sets of track wheels (the tires on them are shot, the wheels are standard Boxster 17") - trailer has permanent Maine registration - selling all as a package for $500 OBO.

I can deliver in the Washington, DC area (as I now own a tow vehicle), or if you just want to make me an offer on the hitch, I can ship that. The hitch has all the hardware, but is missing the manual and the mounting template, but it's pretty straighforward.

I'm interested in the wheels if you are willing to ship without tires.

Do you have a picture of the hitch? Is it the hidden style, or are their two bars visible at all times? Thanks!

I love my trailer and I have the southsport hitch which attaches to the bumperette points. I have an extra southsport hitch in stainless that was bought from sun coast but then my trailer came with an extra hitch that I have been using. So if someone buys this trailer but the hitch is already sold ping me and I will sell my extra hitch for $200. To op, good luck with sale, $500 for the lot is a smoking deal! I think the will wood new just by itself was close to that.

Hey y'all, sorry for the slow response - work, ya' know.

OK, so to answer the questions:

1) The Hitch is still for sale and I answered the PM - it is NOT the hidden style - it is the open style with the two bars that come out of the bumperettes (the original Wilwood 986 design); I will get a pic added this weekend

2) RE: shipping the wheels without the tires - I would prefer not to, as I would rather avoid the time and investment of having the tires demounted from the rims; BUT if a couple of weeks go by and there is no interest we'll talk. I'd rather the stuff go to someone who will use it than just get scrapped

3) Yes, thanks, I think it is a smokin' deal! I was really happy with the set up and managed to get about 75 track days out of it - it's ideal for someone with a 986 just going solo in HPDE. I wish I had done it earlier - much easier than begging your friends with trailers to haul your tires. But yes, unfortunately, it is all a bit bulky, so shipping is unlikely.

The good news on this is that as part of the whole SUV-House-Get rid of track car deal, I was able to get permission from management to pick up a 914 project with a friend, so . . . .I'll post when we start working that.
