They are easy to ship, get a big piece of cardboard, lay the bar on it, then wrap it around to make a rectangle (key for avoiding odd shaped package surcharge) and then tape it up... Double wrap for extra protection if desired. I have shipped these bars 5 or 6 times with no trouble.
