Boxster hardtop $800 [SOLD]

I'm selling my 986 hardtop. It's the early style with the "ears". It is black. It was painted black over its original red. There are a few small chips in the black paint (noted in the pictures). If you want a black hardtop for winter, a black sharpie will make the chips almost invisible. Otherwise, for this price, you can get it re-sprayed. It comes with a Porsche wall mount, a Porsche bag, and a wheeled floor dolly. If your car has the spin locks, we can put it on your car, and the extras will fit in the car and frunk (that's how I got it home).

I bought this for $800, and I'm just looking to break even. This is local pickup only in the Chicago area. Please PM me with any questions.

Hi Mike! Will your top work on my 2000 Boxster? Also how much would the shipping cost to Albuquerque, NM. be? Thanks.

I'll answer this question. Yes it will work on your boxster. The shipping cost is easy to calculate. It's whatever the cost is to drive to Chicago and pick it up for you is. That's what LOCAL PICKUP means.

Reading an entire post can be hard. Especially after you get to the part you want. Just about every "local pickup" & "will not ship" post ends up with a few people asking for shipping cost.
Maybe we could set up a cross-country relay system. Road-rally/tag-team and transport hardtops and wheels all across the country.

Hey guys. I just wanted to jump in here and post that the top is still for sale and available. A few people have sent me PMs, but I didn't know about them until I logged in today. I thought I had the forum set up to send me e-mails when I got a PM, but I didn't. Since I no longer own the Boxster, I don't come here often.

I replied to all PMs today. I'll also be changing that option so I'll know if somebody else posts.

Still available.

The forums seems to be a bit slow (or maybe it's me) with PM notifications. I'm trying to check the forum daily though.
