986 Metal Wind inserts Wanted

I am looking for the plastic black inserts that go in the roll bar hoops for a 1999 Boxster. Anyone have them?

You mean the black plastic ones that go inside the roll bar hoops?

No, but I will keep an eye out for you and tell my friend, who is a salvage guy for boxsters. He always seems to have a pair lying around for sale for less money than the eBay guys who probably steal them and sell them for big bucks.

I don't have any plastic or metal inserts. Metal inserts sound like a great improvement over the plastic ones. I've had ideas of making one out of canvas with Velcro straps that attach to the roll bar. Or maybe a mix of aluminum with canvas straps?

RandallNeighbour,
I also am in need of the Driver's side insert. If you come across some then let me know. Appreciate it.
