I'm not completely out of the business. I just don't have the inventory I once had. Pretty much all I have left are doors, fenders (WHICH I DON"T SHIP) and some suspension pieces. I'll always be a 986 enthusiast, but as a business the 986 platform is a dying model.

Hello,
I'm looking for a 986 (2003) 3 stalk steering column switch. Let me know if you have one and the price. Also, I'm looking for the ball socketed calbles that are on either side of the rear of the convertible. The ones that you have to pop off to get to the engine cover. These are not a critical.
Thanks
Tony

I appreciate people still think of me when they need parts but I'm semi retired from selling parts on this forum. I don't have any interior pieces and generally speeaking only have large body parts. I don't ship large body parts. I went through a major purge a few months ago and crushed 30 porsches. I would try David as he's the new 986 boxster guy for now. Thanks Woody

Hey Woody,
I'm gonna be in Austin Mar 11-16 and was thinking of visiting you. Thought it might be a cool thing to do while I am there. Are you going to be around?
BTW, you PM box is full so you can't receive new PM's

Thanks. I've reduced my inventory down to just 16 boxsters and my own private stash of parts. It's sad to see that the 986 is becoming the next 944. I rarely see one on the road and their numbers are dwindling at the track too. There's only 23 racing this weekend at COTA. Just a few years back there would be 30-35. Even partssociety seems to be getting out of them. You can find David on here 3 986 Boxsters Parting Out _ Will Ship Parts
I see less of him on here and other websites/forums, so maybe he's getting out of them too.

My recommendation to you (and others) would be to start a new thread when looking for specific parts.

I have gotten a lot of parts from Porsche Global Parts in Tampa. They have about 60 Boxsters there for parts as well as other model Porsches. I found my hardtop in my color (rare Pastel Yellow). I drove there and installed the spin locks and top off of a car hit in the front on my car and drove back home. I have also gotten lots of other parts there too.
I have no affiliation with them. Call Zack or Joe @ 813-764-7775 or check out their website www.porschepartsglobal.com and tell them Bob from Ocala told you about them.
