The taillights are already sold. Papa, the one I sold you a couple of weeks ago came off that 03. Were you able to fix it? I got the 944's from a friend and they haven't seen the road in 13 years. I haven't had time to even see if they turn over.

I think it's a long shot, but, how about ...
Rear under body panel 986.504.119.00
Rubber lip 996.504.503.00 and 996.504.504.00
Cover 996.505.525.00 and 996.505.526.00
With all necessary hardware and not all beat up and cracked?
I know you said in the past that the first cover is almost always broken but I figured I'd check anyway.

I have not got to fix the light but after looking at it
I do not think there will be any problem fixing it...just been too busy to mess with it at the moment. Just curious about the 944's more than anything as I have always had a soft spot in my heart for them and came close to purchasing one a few weeks ago.

I am also looking for the oval shaped smoked lens that goes over the motion sensor in the unit near convertible top lock. It is next to the center map/reading lights.

I need a connector for a power seat
This is a connector for the motors in an 8-way power seat in a 986 or 996. I need the connector plus a few inches of wire to solder to. I would like to buy two if you have them.
The plug goes into this control module that fits under the seat:
Please contact me with price and availability.
Thanks

Hello,
The last time I accessed my engine I broke a couple of the little clips that you have to remove when you disconnect the convertible top from the arm that moves it. Please excuse my ignorance If my terminology is all wrong but anyone who has accessed the engine on a 986 should know what I am talking about. I managed to bend them and put them back on but they are broken and dont want to remove them again until I have better ones to replace. Do you a bunch of old ones lying around? Does anyone know where to buy new ones? I looked at pelican and I could not find the exact one.
Also whats everyone opinion on used coil packs? I threw a code that I am pretty sure was the result of a bad coil pack. I am looking to replace all 6.
Thank you

They are called retaining spring clips and excuse me to say that for something that regularly needs to be removed to place the car in the service position, are probably the worst designed POS on the entire car! Difficult to remove/install, need 2 people and trying not to damage the clamshell End of rant. Maybe Ben006 or someone could improve this design.
As ar as used coil packs I wouldn't hesitate to use from Woody if he says are good! Or search eBay and Quality porsche to see if they have a low mileage set. I've bought parts from both and have been very happy! Good Luck!

No luck finding used coil packs for less than new ones from Pelican. Thanks for the recommendation. Agreed on the quality of those little clips
In case anyone is curious in the future the part # is 99950741309 for the retaining clips

$350 shipped for coil packs that had 32K.
He included pics and I could see the brand was Beru which pelican sells for $40 a pop brand new. 6X40=240 and free shipping. There is another Coil pack from pelican that states genuine OEM Porsche and those are $60 new. I did not mean to sound like a cheapo who wanted crappy parts but I was expecting more of a price difference. think I will just buy new ones. Am i missing something?
I did find these
New 6 Ignition Coil Packs Porsche 1998 2003 911 3 4L 2 7L 2 5L 97 02 986 Boxster | eBay
But I think I will go with the new ones from Pelican.
Thanks again for putting me in contact though, even if it didn't work out.

Sorry it didn't work out. People have started coming to me to see if I'm interested in buying their parts. I'm usually not interested but I'll pass their info on if someone comes to me looking for what they have.

Hey Woody,
Would you have a driver's side door handle like this one, but not all chipped up?

Carlisabadman986,
You might want to check out RockAuto. I found coil packs for a 99 Boxster at $35.89 a piece.
While not as good looking as the yellow and blue ones off ebay, these are Bosch 00139 coil packs.
I still think Woody offers the best deals yet on Boxster parts!
