Do you happen to have an exhaust tip from the Special Edition?
http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1435814433.jpg Thanks! |
Woody, I'm wondering if you have:
-The elusive headrest windscreens -An unmarked black passenger side airbag cover (dash) -The fasteners that hold the manual trunk release lever to the side panel |
Woody,
I need a couple of parts for a 2000 Boxster. (I had a rock hit the underside of the right front bumper and I'm dealing with some minor damage.) The first is some kind of trim piece (the black piece of plastic at the very bottom of the bumper.) :http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1436022438.jpg This part is still on the car, but several of the mounting tabs were broken by the impact and it is loose. I need one with all the mounting tabs intact. I think the second part is a brake-cooling duct. I'm trying to repair mine with epoxy, but I doubt it will hold up to actual driving conditions: http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1436022646.jpg Thanks in advance for your assistance. |
Woody do you happen to have another set of the updated (red & clear) tail lights?

Happen to have the front headliner attachment for a 2002 Boxster? I am pretty sure I can feel mine has broken lengthwise across the front.

03 or 04 S muffler on 98 5 speed parts.
Woody. I would like to put a stock 03 or 04 S muffler on my 98 5 speed base. If I buy all the hardware from say an 02 5 speed trans tail, adapter, bracket etc. would this allow me to use the the later model S muffler? and if so do you have these parts? I figure you see so many of these you'd likely know! Thanks

Hey Woody,

99 w/43K It's mostly picked over and I can't remember what's left. 98 w/61k It's also mostly picked over and I can't remember what's left. 2000 w/55K I believe it has almost everything still. Hubs/uprights are $50 each plus shipping (usually $20 for shipping) Each control arm, track arm is $20 plus shipping Thanks Woody |

Some more vehicles to pull from. I don't have any mesh wind diffusor inserts
The first is a 2003 with grey interior. The motor is sold and I'm keeping the headlights for myself. It has the glass window top, but the canvass needs to be replaced. It has holes on the sides that caused the immobilizer to get wet. http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/x...pszrhelnxw.jpg http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps5fc6fpco.jpg The second is a 2002. The motor and headlights are sold http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/x...psufm6h7ro.jpg http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/x...psm1s5itx4.jpg http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/x...psogj7jdbb.jpg I'm selling the headlights off of my 2000. The right side is almost flawless. $125+shipping. The left side has small burn marks. $100+shipping http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/x...psrbljfsc9.jpg http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/x...psujegi0l8.jpg I've got these two 944's i'm parting out too. Late 85 and a 86 http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/x...psnulgac7s.jpg The blue car in the middle is gone, but everything else you see is still there http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/x...pspe3tacj1.jpg |

I think it's a long shot, but, how about ...
Rear under body panel 986.504.119.00 Rubber lip 996.504.503.00 and 996.504.504.00 Cover 996.505.525.00 and 996.505.526.00 With all necessary hardware and not all beat up and cracked? I know you said in the past that the first cover is almost always broken but I figured I'd check anyway. |
I have not got to fix the light but after looking at it
I do not think there will be any problem fixing it...just been too busy to mess with it at the moment. Just curious about the 944's more than anything as I have always had a soft spot in my heart for them and came close to purchasing one a few weeks ago.
|
I am also looking for the oval shaped smoked lens that goes over the motion sensor in the unit near convertible top lock. It is next to the center map/reading lights.

I need a connector for a power seat
This is a connector for the motors in an 8-way power seat in a 986 or 996. I need the connector plus a few inches of wire to solder to. I would like to buy two if you have them.

Hello,
The last time I accessed my engine I broke a couple of the little clips that you have to remove when you disconnect the convertible top from the arm that moves it. Please excuse my ignorance If my terminology is all wrong but anyone who has accessed the engine on a 986 should know what I am talking about. I managed to bend them and put them back on but they are broken and dont want to remove them again until I have better ones to replace. Do you a bunch of old ones lying around? Does anyone know where to buy new ones? I looked at pelican and I could not find the exact one. Also whats everyone opinion on used coil packs? I threw a code that I am pretty sure was the result of a bad coil pack. I am looking to replace all 6. Thank you |
They are called retaining spring clips and excuse me to say that for something that regularly needs to be removed to place the car in the service position, are probably the worst designed POS on the entire car! Difficult to remove/install, need 2 people and trying not to damage the clamshell:barf: End of rant. Maybe Ben006 or someone could improve this design. :)
As ar as used coil packs I wouldn't hesitate to use from Woody if he says are good! Or search eBay and Quality porsche to see if they have a low mileage set. I've bought parts from both and have been very happy! Good Luck! |

In case anyone is curious in the future the part # is 99950741309 for the retaining clips |

He included pics and I could see the brand was Beru which pelican sells for $40 a pop brand new. 6X40=240 and free shipping. There is another Coil pack from pelican that states genuine OEM Porsche and those are $60 new. I did not mean to sound like a cheapo who wanted crappy parts but I was expecting more of a price difference. think I will just buy new ones. Am i missing something? I did find these But I think I will go with the new ones from Pelican. Thanks again for putting me in contact though, even if it didn't work out. |

Hey Woody,
Would you have a driver's side door handle like this one, but not all chipped up? http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1439041732.jpg |
Carlisabadman986,
You might want to check out RockAuto. I found coil packs for a 99 Boxster at $35.89 a piece. While not as good looking as the yellow and blue ones off ebay, these are Bosch 00139 coil packs. I still think Woody offers the best deals yet on Boxster parts! MNC-I |
Hi woody,
I'm looking for the center ashtray / insert and a drivers side seatbelt cover (top plastic piece) Thanks |
