FS: OEM Porsche Key Fob

Would anyone be interested in a Key Fob? This key fob is basically in like new condition. I only used it once or twice. The buttons are nice and crisp.

The blade would obviously need to be replaced and the fob would need to be reprogrammed for your car by the dealer or anyone with the special equipment.

If you are interested, please make me an offer.

Thanks!

Does that tag have the requisite barcode on it for programming? It must have it for it to be programmed.

Excellent. I just wanted anyone looking at this thread to know it did. Looked like it, but the tag was upside down in the pix.

Lots of newbies come here and have purchased keys off ebay that are worthless without that barcode tag or complain that someone credible like you is asking too much because it's a key that can actually be used!

A lot of people have been pming me and saying that my price is too much because they are swapping out parts from their current key.

This key is NOT For parts. You should not be using this key to fix your crappy old key. You should only be buying this if you need an extra key.

So......many of us aren't following the "intended use" protocols apparently.

I was initially going to fix my crappy old key but thankfully I read your entire thread and now know I do not qualify as a buyer. Qualified buyers should be prepared to spend more money in order to have an extra key, as per the terms of intended use in this classified ad.

DO NOT attempt to spend less money in an effort to fix your old crappy key. Not here, not now.

Glad the message was received velorider. Doing so would be analogous to parting out a perfectly working car in order to fix your car. I want this key to go to a good home.

Oops. Color me guilty.

I looked at a perfectly well running 98 Boxster today with 92K miles and was going to buy it (whole car) so I could rebuild the engine and transmission as backups for racing and was going to have someone else part out the rest of it.

Cheaper and easier to rebuild a running engine than one that has had a failure with expensive/hard to find broken components and a billion bits of steel and aluminum run through every moving part in the oil.

Key received timely, well-packed, and in like-new condition. Seller even included a lagniappe! Thanks for the smooth transaction!

Racing will do that to you!

Granted it was CrapCan racing -- but it was a Porsche (944)

We had no idea where we might be able to find used parts -- so we bought a second car to haul down to our first race! It cost us $10 more than the race car :-)
