Fabspeed race exhaust for 986

Put the fabspeed race exhaust on the 04 boxster S and it sounds awesome, but the wife drives it primarily and thinks it is too loud for her, so it is for sale. It is everything from the headers back and eliminates the rear cats. More HP, better response and awesome sound. Have not removed it yet, so no pics, but can take some when I get it off. In perfect condition and easily installed DIY. Will take $750 shipped to lower 48, or $700 picked up in western NC. best contact is 828 385 3100, second best is bjfutrell@ccvn.com

Mountainman,

Are you saying that this will bolt onto the stock Porsche exhaust manifolds with the 1st set of stock cats, and replace the balance of the exhaust system from that point back? Thus, one would end up with the stock manifolds, stock cat #1, and an entirely new system from that point backwards?

Please advise, as this might be the immediate solution for me.

Thanks,

Pat

Yes. The oem headers/pre-cats remain in place, while the race exhaust bolts on from there. The race exhaust has it's own mid-pipes that eliminate the secondary cats.

Pat, Yes, as johnny said, you retain the primary cat which has both o2 sensors attached and everything from there back is replaced. Saves a bunch of weight off the rear end. Takes about an hour and a half to change out. I wish it would fit my 987, I'd just switch it over. The wife doesn't drive it.

MTN Man,

Which version of the race exhaust do you have ? Fabspeed changed the size of the resonators about a year ago.
