FS: 2001 Boxster 3.2l Core

I am not sure what to do with my bad engine so I thought I would post it here for sale and see what kind of interest there is.

I am selling the long block (including heads, coil packs, etc), no alternator, wiring harness, or starter.

This engine failed at about 110,000miles, partial tear down revealed a broken cylinder wall. Heads appear to be in good shape.

I am located on Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and can package this engine on a pallet for shipping.

Please PM if you have any questions. I am open to offers.

Piper

Still have it

I still have this core....any interest? Will consider it as a trade towards a good running Audi 4.2l, 40V.

I didn't think that was another mode of failure.

I am beginning to think that starting up one of these engines is a "mode" for failure .

Now Partng out

I have decide to part out this engine core, please let me know if there are any parts you need. Cylinder wall failure was on #6, so that side's head may need some valve work on that cylinder. Other than that all parts seem to be in good shape.

I'll take the crankshaft, IMS assembly, cylinder heads and camshafts if you have a fair price on them.

Hi Jake, make an offer, you know best what these parts are worth. I did some checking for someone else to ship just a head to your area and it was VERY expensive (between $600 and $800) so that needs to kept in mind. You would be looking at least double that in shipping alone.

Hi,
If you haven't sold the block to Jake, I'd be interested in buying it. I am aware of the breakage issues, I know it's "sold as is" and let the buyer(me) beware.

Thanks,

Jeff
