Cat Bypass (Test) Pipes

UPDATE: SOLD

these are T304SS seamless, mandrel bent polished pieces. they are 2" diameter from flange to outlet. they are similar to the Fabspeed cat bypass pipes, but don't neck down to 1.75" at the muffler.

they are brand new prototype units fabricated by Che (deluboz parts). i was check fitting them to the 3.4L conversion for them (the Fabspeed pipes will contact the sway bars on 3.4L conversions).

these things are works of art & will fit seamlessly. since they do not neck down at the muffler, they won't work with the OEM muffler without slight modification. however, if you have a 2" inlet muffler, these will fit right up.

the O2 sensor bungs are recessed to eliminate check engine lights. $250 + shipping for the pair. comes w/ porsche metal gaskets & good hardware.

OEM pipes up top, fabspeed in the middle, deluboz down low:

comparison of fabspeed to deluboz ends (deluboz are full size):

Any more info on these bypass pipes? General availability? Versions that do neck down to the OEM exhaust?
My cats seem to be rattling, time to replace them with some straight pipes. However, I'm not willing to pay over $600 for a couple of pieces of bent pipe.

pipes

How does the the check engine light not come on since there is no CAT. How does it being recessed not make it come on. I am interrested in the pipes.

Will these fit the 2.7 and if I have an aftermarket muffler (ebay special!)? If so, I'll claim them.

@Hooker:
recessing the O2 sensors pulls them out of the exhaust stream a bit. the result is partial vacuum at the sensor head; it will read lower HC & NO2. it works. in fact, some aftermarket companies sell O2 bung extesions that accomplish this task.

@stateofidleness:
the inlets on your aftermarket muffler need to be 2".
