I wonder if they are fiberglass or urethane. I know this is a heavily discussed topic (fiberglass v. urethane) but I still cant make up my mind. Any thoughts here?

Thats basically a knock off of the Cargraphic lower spoiler. In fact, they're actually using Cargraphic's images right from their web site.

In any case, I am almost certain that the piece is made out of fiberglass and not polyurethane. And to some extent that would be a good thing. However, the problem associated with an add on piece such as that, is it often requires an awful of fine detail work and craftsmanship in order to make it fit well and look really good. And, depending on how high your standards are, chances are piece like that would require as much time and effort to achieve a factory like fit and finish as a complete bumper install would. Personally, I think it looks a bit contrived on the boxster. And I still recommend that you put your money toward a high quality complete bumper.

Take solace in knowing that I spent quite sometime researching and ogling virtually every bumper, side skirt, body kit and aero part known to mankind before I could make a decision for my boxster. In fact, the search became so intense, one night I dreamt that I was walking in the dessert with a naked indian chief who was carrying a bumper under his arm.
