to me, this car seems like a complete diversion from VW's market -- where are their other "true" sports cars ....ever? They make some cars with sportiness built in, but this car, to me, makes about as much sense as buick developing a mid engine roadster out-of-the-blue. Regardless of how nice it is, it would be a bitter pill to swallow.
VW builds "cute" cars.... they always have (bug, ghia, microbus, rabbit, golf, new beetle, etc). This car is abandoning cute and trying to hold on to sexy -- and unfortunately porsche has a patent on it.
