He is referring to the higher color temperate HID capsules. Factory is 4300K. You can get 6000K which is far more blue, but it is does make for less light on the road (measured in lumens). Anything beyond 6000K is simply a coated (painted) capsule, and SIGNIFICANTLY reduces light output. I'd remotely consider 6000K as it is nice to drive with (lights up road signs and lines great and does look completely like daylight) and does have the cool bling factor, but would never consider the 8000K or 10000K capsules as the useable light on the road is almost zero.

If you want the best night vision, stick with 4300K capsules.
