I upgraded my 01 head unit and after that have no desire to ever put the original back in. I can't tell a difference in the sound but I would not attempt to undo all the changes I had to make to the factory wiring to make the new unit work. Of course, I have the books and codes. I would be happy with $175. It's perfect.
