It doesn't quite compare to some of the great stories here so far but I had to share with you something that made my day...
For what ever reason I was grumpy this morning. I forgot to pick up coffee beans yesterday so stopped by the coffee shop for some new beans and to treat myself to a triple grande cap. I scored a parking spot right out side the store. The weather has bee perfect here in FL, and the top has been down for the last two weeks, this morning was no different.
While in line I notice a kid, 13 maybe, walk right up to the front of the boxster to have a look, then noticed he had his camera phone out and was taking a couple pictures, the gals in front of me noticed this too and were getting a giggle out of it because they knew it was my car. The kid moves on to the side of the car to take some more pics, at this point his mother pulls up in the family SUV, and you could almost see her roll her eyes with "boys and their toys" she waited patiently as the kid snapped off a couple more pics from the back of the car before yielding to his mother... priceless. Made my day and I am still grinning over it.
It reminded me of the Porsche commercial where the kid rides his bike to the dealer, takes the salesman's business card and says
I'll see you again in about twenty years.
Heck I
still act like that kid when I see a cool car, some things you just don't out grow.
