After years of 914 and 911 ownership I took the plunge and got a "new" Porsche. A 2000 boxster. Modern. Comfortable. Fast (well, kinda fast
).
From my 3year old: "cool boxster dad".. Great I thought. The kid is buying into the new P-Car ownership. Well. I brougt the lad with me to a local p-car shop. In their showroom was a Black 930. Similar to my previous black SC. As we walk out, my 3 year old says : Dad, where's your black Porsche? I remind him that we sold it to get the boxster. His reply. That's right. When are you getting another one like the Black one, I like it better
I showed up for a couple of autocrosses this past weekend. Some knew I sold my 911. Some didn't. Those who knew were enthusiastic about the new car and wanted to check it out. Those who didn't know I sold the 911 looked at me and said "why would you do that". Tough crowd this Boxster ownership.
