Just after church last year, a young woman (the daughter of a frind of ours at church) eluded to the fact that I must be fabulously wealthy to own and drive a Porsche.

Oddly enough, when I bought the car her mother told her that I paid less for the boxster than she paid for her new Ford.

Mostly, the comments I receive surround the fact that I must be taking a very large salary from my organization to drive a Pcar.

I do get frequent comment from panhandlers at intersections (with the top down) that they like the car and would like me to give it to them if I am tired of it. I always reply that if they'd like to take the insurance payments and the maintenance costs over from me, I'd entertain the offer and they just walk away.

After all, my boxster in particular has not been cheap to keep running or insure in the 4th largest city in the USA.
