Thanks for the update, I will be interested to see what the install looks like and how it sounds. I replaced the dash and door speakers with JL audio units. My car did not come with rear speakers so I added 4 each 4' speakers behind the seats. I found that the rear speakers really help in filling in the sound field.

I am powering everything with JL audio Slash-series amps and a high-end Pioneer head unit. Sounds pretty good, much better than stock, but still needs work. I have have used a 1/3 octive RTA to check the frequency response of the system. It is pretty terrible without equalization.

The Pioneer head unit has a 15-band equalizer which I have used to help flatten the response somewhat, but that cannt make up for the lack of a subwoofer. Most of the sub installs I have seen go in the footwell, where did you get the idea for behind the seats?
