You might need to adjust your handbrake. If it's taking more than about 3-4 clicks for the parking brake handle to stop, then it needs to be adjusted. It's pretty easy to do by removing the inside of the center console compartment. Once you're in there, it's as easy as loosening one nut and tightening another.
