It really has gotten out of hand. I used to travel out west or in Florida and I would hear music that was unique to those areas. That's all out the window now.

It's kind of like Tivo, the consumers are spending the money to avoid commericals and have more choices in programming.
I usually listen to the same station on the radio and yes, if I listen for too long I do hear the same songs again but I guess I'm just not driving for any length of time anymore so I don't really care. If I'm going to drive in the car for anything over an hour, I plug in my mp3 player to listen to the songs that I like.

If I traveled for a living and was in the car a lot I might give it a try but at this point I just don't have any desire to spend money on it. With what I've heard about XM and Sirius being in the red, I'm guessing there are a lot of people who feel the same way.
