Oil changes will cost you $120 or more. I just paid that. The 9 quarts of synthetic Mobil 1 put you well over $60 plus the filter and crush ring.

You can buy the Mobil 1 0w40 at WalMart, although 5W40 will be far easier to find and can also be used (man, I'm gonna pay for that comment here because of the firestorm of opinions about it.) Pcar Dealerships charge an arm and a leg for oil and for oil changes.

From what I have read and practice, it's a good idea to change the oil in our cars once a year or every 7500 miles. Some go longer in miles, but not time. I say certainly change the oil every 10k miles unless you to tons of stop and go traffic miles, which doesn't run the odometer up but the engine is running the whole time.

Learn to do this yourself. It's easy and you can do it for under a hundred bucks.
